VAUDREUIL, QUEBEC - January 15, 2025 - Today, Asmodee Canada announced that on April 1, 2025, it will fully merge operations with its sister company, Lion Rampant Imports. Asmodee Canada acquired Lion Rampant Imports in 2019 and since that time, the two have largely been managed as separate entities. To maximize efficiencies and facilitate processes for retailers and vendors, the two will fully merge under the name Asmodee Canada. This merger represents opportunities for growth and development and aims to solidify Asmodee Canada’s leadership position within the Canadian tabletop games market.

Asmodee Canada was established in 2016 with the acquisition of F2Z Entertainment by Asmodee Éditions, becoming the Canadian distribution unit for the world leader in tabletop games. Lion Rampant Imports was founded in 1992 since that time becoming one of the main distributors of hobby games in the Canadian industry. With the merger of the two companies, Asmodee Canada can continue to build its leadership role within Canada, with over 16,000 unique items in its catalog.

“Keeping the two entities separate for a few years made sense from a brand perspective,” said Jayson Pickford, Country Manager and CEO for Asmodee Canada. “Both companies had strong individual identities that we felt would be best leveraged separately, but now it’s time to maximize efficiencies and create a smoother process for our retail and vendor partners”, he adds. “By fully merging Asmodee Canada and Lion Rampant Imports, we will create a stronger combined company, increasing synergies, and delivering more value to stakeholders. We’re taking the best of both businesses and combining them into one.”

Merging the two companies will allow retailers a one-stop-shopping experience, with one sales representative for their account, one catalog, and one website for placing orders, creating a more streamlined interaction process. There will continue to be a sales office in Brantford, Ontario, and all warehouse operations will move to the facility in Vaudreuil, which will facilitate shipping from a single location.

For tabletop game vendors, the merger will simplify the procurement processes, with fewer intermediaries, meaning quicker responses, and more efficient supply chain management.
